Very nice hotel. Hot tub and pool are indoors and accessible most hours of the day. Nice clean rooms with a mini fridge and microwave. Right across the street from a Sam's Club with gas and an Aldi, so perfect for road trippers! 4 star rating is for the breakfast being a little overpriced for what it is, but worth it if you have a voucher. Make sure to check out the incredible mosaic by the elevators! Also loved the cool light fixtures and the resin furniture. Made for unique and beautiful spaces.
My recent stay here started out fine. The location was good, the room was clean, basically no issues. Until 1:15am when the people in the next room were talking so loud that it woke me up. I called the front desk to ask them to handle and they said they would. The noise lasted over an hour and when I called back to the front desk, they did not answer 3 TIMES. I even tried calling from my cell phone. In the morning, 7:45, I went to the front desk and asked for a manager and was told none were on site and was given a card. Later that day I called to talk with the manager, and guess what, NO ANSWER, not even by voice mail. I am not happy with the service or the rooms and would recommend staying elsewhere. Even though I am not a frequent traveler, I usually like Hilton properties.
Overall, it was a great one night stay with the family. The location isn't great; it's a bit difficult to get to, and Google Maps didn't take us quite to the right place. The hotel is about four years old so everything is modern and sharp. The lobby and bar area are very nice. The pool and hot tub (although full of screaming kids) is a decent sized space. The rooms were very clean and mostly spacious. Check-in was quick, but it could have been a bit friendlier. Didn't use the fitness center. Also, we didn't eat breakfast at the hotel.
Our biggest complaint is the same thing others have said - the walls are very thin! I could hear our neighbor's conversations and could hear every footstep above. Not great.
Most importantly, on the day we stayed, this was the best value by far for the quality of the property.
Such a great stay!! Had a pretty rough go at another hotel. I called to see if they had any pet restrictions. They were so very kind and helpful and understood my situation. I am now an honors member!!
I was a loyal customer here for years but not anymore. We had a reservation but got trapped in an incoming blizzard. The front desk refused to be understanding and sent us to a customer service agent in India. Never staying at such a heartless hotel ever again. What a scam.
Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. This place is way overpriced for what you get.
Complaints:
- Bathrooms inside the room do not have a door that closes, only a barn door that slides and leaves a two inch gap from the wall. Our barn door wouldn’t slide all the way across the doorway either so there was a three or four inch section of doorway uncovered. You will be doing your business for everyone in the room. Absolutely awful.
- $18 for breakfast; basic frozen foods in a buffet. Unimpressive. Terrible coffee.
- No luggage rack for your room.
- Towels are rough like sand paper. Seriously.
- Like others have said, these rooms are seriously lacking lighting. No overhead lighting and no vanity lighting in the bathroom.
- Bathroom faucet loose and moved everytime we turned the water on.
- Shower head was loose and wobbled anytime you touched it.
- The beds are very, very firm. Like plywood.
- The buttons on the TV remote were stuck down by goo.
Stay somewhere else.
Hotel is a newer one in the Topeka area. Walls and floors are extremely thin. We could hear the room above us stomping around all night long. The front desk would not answer the phone when calling them. …
The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our hotel room was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were good. The bed was comfortable, and we both slept great. The person that assisted us at breakfast the first morning we were there was very …
